I am not surprised. Celebrities may draw attention to an ad but they won’t be the deciding factor, unless there is a direct connection between the consumers, the celebrity and the product. For e.g. Weight Watchers, everyone can see that Valerie Bertinelli lost quite a bit of weight so the consumers will connect to her, but did women really throw away their Maybelline mascara because Drew Barrymore became the spokesperson for Cover Girl?
